Easter eggs are a symbol of resurrected life!
The annual Easter egg hunt celebrates that “He is Risen”. The congregation gathers in and around our historic graveyard directly after our 11:00am sanctuary worship on Easter day to fellowship and celebrate. The children hunt for signs of life where only death is expected – all church members are invited to reflect upon the meaning of Easter by visiting the Memorial Garden and Columbarium as well as the graveyard. It is tradition for the youth group to organize the event by stuffing and hiding the eggs for the younger children.
