Libraries at First Presbyterian Church

Opening the door to knowledge about the church, the Gospel and the world around us

Children and Adult Libraries at First Presbyterian

The Christian Education Committee invites you to see the “new” church library!

Since the church renovation, the church library is now divided between two locations.

The children’s materials are on the second floor near the children’s Sunday school classrooms. The library is in the far right corner of the children’s area with the photocopier immediately outside the door. The children’s collection serves preschool through the 5th grade and is open for teachers and parents with their children at any time.

The adult and teen circulating materials and the Elnora Paul Reference Collection are on the third floor near the Church Avenue elevator. From the sanctuary, exit the door nearest the pulpit, go past the stairwell and turn left at the water fountain. The library is just beyond the elevator. The adult library has keypad access for church members to use at any time. Instructions are posted at the computer terminal for using the catalog. Shelves are labeled to help locate materials.

Donate Books

Help us grow this wonderful resource! Tips for book donations and library media.

One of my favorite activities I did with my daughter was reading together. We began when she was just weeks old. Our children’s library collection has excellent books for infants and preschoolers as well as elementary school students. It offers a collection for you to help your children grow in faith and an occasion for you to learn what questions they have about God and Jesus. Enjoy the wonderful opportunity to snuggle and read together while your children are young.
