Funerals and Memorial Services

At the time of a death in the congregation, we seek to provide pastoral and congregational care to best meet the needs of the bereaved family. To set the day and time for a funeral or memorial service, contact the church office (865.546.2531) to speak with a pastor, who will assist in planning the service time and details.

Internment in our Columbarium

First Presbyterian Church offers interment of cremains in either an indoor or outdoor columbarium or the memorial garden, located in the historic graveyard. A columbarium is a sacred resting place and a place for friends and family members who are mourning to gather, to pray for, and to give thanks for the lives of these loved ones. Contact the church administrator at church@fpcknox.org for information regarding the columbaria or memorial garden.
