Please explore the events below, and make plans to join us for our candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5 pm or 10:30 pm. We’re grateful you stopped by, and we look forward to celebrating this holy season with you.
Advent Week 2: Lessons and Carols - December 7th at 11 am
Join us for the second lighting of the Advent candle as we continue our journey through the season with scripture, prayer, and music. During worship, the Adult Choir—joined by guest instrumentalists and a string quartet—will offer our Annual Advent Lessons and Carols. The combination of voices and instruments brings a depth and richness to the service, allowing the music to speak in powerful and meaningful ways as it carries the themes of Advent.
We hope you’ll join us for this special time of worship as we prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ.
Storytelling Night - December 10th at 5:30 pm for dinner, program at 6:30
Join us on Wednesday, December 10th for a special Worshipful Wednesday focused on storytelling from within our church community. Together, we will listen to moments of community, service, and faith that have shaped the lives of those at First Presbyterian.
Our storytellers will share brief reflections on experiences of growth, encouragement, and the ways they have encountered God’s love through this congregation.
We invite you to join us for dinner at 5:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall, followed by the program at 6:30 pm in the James Park Room on the second floor. We hope you will be part of this meaningful evening as we grow in faith together and celebrate the many ways God continues to move in our community.
Annual Christmas Pageant and Dinner - December 14th at 5 pm
Please join us for the Christmas Pageant on the evening of December 14th at 5 pm, with a catered dinner to follow in the Fellowship Hall. This special production features our children and youth as they share the story of Christ’s birth through scripture and music. Their thoughtful participation, along with the beauty of their costumes and the music, brings a sense of joy and anticipation to this beloved annual tradition.
Each year, the pageant helps prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, inviting us to reflect on the hope and promise of the season. We welcome friends, neighbors, and members of the wider community to save the date and celebrate with us, and then stay afterward for a shared meal in the Fellowship Hall.
Christmas Eve Services - December 24th at 5 pm and 10:30 pm
Some of our most beautiful services of the year, our Christmas Eve worship gatherings invite you to pause, reflect, and celebrate the birth of Christ. We hope you will join us at either 5 pm or 10:30 pm.
Both services will include communion and candle lighting, along with scripture readings, meaningful stories, and powerful music that captures the hope and joy of Christmas.
Our annual Christmas Eve family service at 5 pm is designed with children and families in mind, offering a warm, accessible retelling of the Nativity and music that encourages all ages to participate.
The 10:30 pm service provides a more contemplative experience. A special musical prelude begins at 10 pm, so we encourage you to arrive early and enjoy this extended time of reflection and preparation. The service itself will feature selections for handbells and choral anthems accompanied by a string quartet and guest instrumentalists, creating a rich and expressive musical setting for the night.
We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate the light of Christ coming into the world.
