Adult Sunday School Class Descriptions 2025-2026
Sunday School is a great way to deepen our faith through thoughtful study and open discussion. Engaging Scripture and studies in community helps us grow spiritually and discover new perspectives for our journey with Christ. Check out one of the classes below!
DISCIPLESHIP CLASS
Open to adults of all ages, the Discipleship Class meets in Courtyard Room A (main level near the Family Life Center). This fall, the class will explore the Book of Isaiah and read The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. Spring studies will include Knowing Jesus Through the Old Testament by Christopher J.H. CARRICK CLASS
The Carrick Class, for adults of all ages, meets in Heritage Room A. This year’s study will focus on the Book of Acts, exploring how the early church speaks to our lives today. Additional topics include a study of the Lord’s Supper and a special Advent series reflecting on each Gospel’s perspective of home at Christmas. FOUNDATION BUILDER’S CLASS - (this class starts at 10 AM and not 9:45)
Meeting in Heritage Room B, the Foundation Builders Class is for adults of all ages. This fall, the class will engage with Searching for People and Places of the Bible, a 16-lecture video series by Jean-Pierre Isbouts that connects biblical stories with ancient geography and history. EMBARKED CLASS
Designed for college students and adults, the Embarked Class meets in the James Park Room on the second floor. This fall’s study, Context by Josh Scott, examines well-known Bible verses in their historical and cultural settings. The class encourages open discussion and deep reflection.
