Playback: Jack Neely’s Presentation at Worshipful Wednesday on August 20th.

What a wonderful evening we shared last Wednesday as we launched our new Worshipful Wednesday year with Deep Roots: The Stories and Stones of First Presbyterian Church. We were honored to welcome church member and acclaimed historian Jack Neely, who guided us through the legacy of First Presbyterian and its place in the history of Knoxville.

Jack’s presentation opened our eyes to see familiar spaces in fresh ways—helping us connect our church’s story to the broader story of our city. From the earliest days of the congregation’s founding to its continued presence downtown, we were reminded of the faithful witness of generations who have come before us, and of the call to carry that legacy forward today.

The evening was filled with a renewed sense of what it means to be rooted here and now in the life of First Presbyterian Church. For those who were not able to attend, we are have the full recording of the presentation in the link below. We are especially grateful to Jack Neely for sharing his knowledge, stories, and love for our church and city.
