Responsibilities and Membership
The Flower Guild: Responsibilities, Practices, and Member Directory
The Flower Guild plays a vital role in preparing our worship spaces with beauty, care, and intention each week. From selecting and arranging flowers for the Chancel and Narthex to coordinating weekly schedules and honoring memorials and special occasions, each member contributes to this meaningful ministry in a hands-on and faithful way. The Guild also extends care beyond Sunday mornings by preparing small arrangements for those who are hospitalized or homebound, reflecting Christ’s love through thoughtful acts of service.
This guide outlines the rhythms and responsibilities of the Flower Guild, including scheduling and team coordination, choosing and ordering flowers, creating arrangements appropriate for worship, caring for the Flower Room and supplies, and supporting one another in this shared work. Whether you are new to arranging or experienced, it offers helpful instruction, practical details, and guidance for serving well.
