Inclusive Audio at First Presbyterian: Listen Everywhere with Ease
Enhancing Accessibility with Assistive Listening
At First Presbyterian, we believe that everyone should be able to fully participate in worship, learning, and community events—regardless of hearing ability. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a church‑wide Assistive Listening System (ALS) powered by Listen Technologies’ Wi‑Fi streaming solution.
Why Assistive Listening Matters
Inclusive Worship
Nearly 466 million people worldwide experience some degree of hearing loss. Traditional sound systems—while delivering great audio for most—can leave these guests straining to follow sermons, music, and announcements.Improved Engagement
An ALS transmits audio directly to personal listening devices (headphones, hearing aids, cochlear implants), cutting away background noise and ensuring crystal‑clear sound.Easy & Flexible
Rather than borrowing specialized headsets, guests simply download the free ListenWIFI app on their smartphone or tablet and connect over Wi‑Fi.
How It Works

Depending on where you are, the Assisted Listening System connects to our main audio console or room‑specific sound system via a small streaming box.Wi‑Fi Broadcast
