Andy Morgan Shares Insights on AI and Homiletics at National Summit, 'Faithful Futures: Guiding AI with Wisdom and Witness'
Faith and AI: Local Insights at an Ecumenical Summit
Earlier this week, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) launched Faithful Futures: Guiding AI with Wisdom and Witness, an ecumenical summit held September 2–5, 2025, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis, MN. The gathering, brought together by PC(USA), the ELCA, the United Methodist Church, and The Episcopal Church, explored how the Church can shape the future of artificial intelligence with theological grounding, ethical clarity, and innovative ministry practicesWe’re proud to share that our Director of Family Faith Formation, Andy Morgan, contributed to this vital conversation—presenting a paper on the implications of artificial intelligence in homiletics. Andy’s work thoughtfully addresses how AI might support sermon preparation while preserving the soul of preaching. His insights remind us that while technology offers tools, our calling remains deeply human and prayer-centered. We look forward to hearing more from Andy as he continues to share his research and reflections with our community.
