Embracing “Holy Love, Wholly Loved” on Our Middle School Retreat at Massanetta Springs

Last week, three of our middle school students joined Youth Director Katelyn Finch and Rev. Louden Young and two youth from New Providence Presbyterian Church for a weekend at Massanetta Springs, just outside Harrisonburg, VA.

Centered on 1 John 4’s “Holy Love, Wholly Loved,” the retreat combined keynote sessions, worship, small groups, and activities to remind our young people that God loves them completely—and calls them to share that love with others. We examined examples of agape love throughout Scripture and discussed practical ways to live it out in our communities. It was a rewarding and lively weekend, and we appreciated the chance to experience this conference together.

Looking ahead, next year’s dates are June 23–26—rising 5th–8th graders, be sure to save the date!
