Presented by The Foundry at Candler School of Theology, Emory University

Tuesdays, June 9–30, 2026, 6:30–7:45 pm

James Park Room

Presented in partnership with the Global Missions Committee

What is Christian nationalism, and how should Christians think about the relationship between faith, citizenship, and national identity? As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, this four-week course invites participants to explore these questions through the lenses of history, theology, and Christian discipleship.

Led by Dr. Dominic Erdozain, author of To Love a Country (2026), the course will examine how Christians have engaged public life throughout history and consider how followers of Christ can faithfully navigate questions of patriotism, democracy, and civic responsibility today.

What to Expect

  • No tests, quizzes, or required reading

  • Interactive lectures and discussion

  • Q&A with the instructor

  • Access to class recordings

Whether you are curious about Christian nationalism or interested in the role of faith in public life, this course offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversation.
