Lunch Bunch Connects Over Lunch at Ale Rae’s Gastro Pub and Explores Old Gray Cemetery

The Lunch Bunch had a great time together this week, gathering for lunch at Ale Rae’s Gastro Pub before heading over to Old Gray Cemetery for an afternoon of history and exploration.

After lunch, Russell Kuhlman led a thoughtful and engaging tour through the cemetery, sharing stories of notable Knoxvillians and helping bring the city’s history to life. It was a great time of connecting with one another while also learning more about the people and places that have shaped our community.

Among those buried at Old Gray is James Park, who served as pastor of First Presbyterian Church from 1866 to 1905. He began his ministry just after the Civil War and helped guide the church through its rebuilding, laying a strong foundation for the years that followed.

Many thanks to Russell Kuhlman for leading such a great tour, and to Mary Wilson for coordinating a fun afternoon for everyone.
