Nehemiah Action Assembly with Justice Knox a Big Success!
Nehemiah Action Assembly was a powerful gathering of our community on Monday night, bringing together more than 1,650 leaders, congregations, and neighbors at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium—making this the largest assembly yet.
We’re grateful for our local mission partner, Justice Knox , and for the opportunity to stand alongside them. We had many members of First Presbyterian in attendance, joining with others across the city to advocate for change.
Together, Justice Knox raised important concerns around housing, homelessness, and public transportation, engaging directly with local leaders and elected officials. Even more encouraging, clear commitments were made to each of the key asks presented.
Justice Knox continues to bring people together across congregations to pursue practical, local solutions that care for our neighbors and strengthen our community. If you’re interested in learning more or getting involved, we invite you to reach out to Meredith Loftis at meredith@fpcknox.org. There are many ways to take part in this organization and be part of seeking God’s justice in our city!
