Our Youth at Montreat: A Week of Faith, Friendship, and Light
This week, our youth traveled to Montreat, NC to participate in the Montreat Youth Conference. It has been a full and engaging experience, focused on worship, learning, and community-building.
The 2025 conference theme, Light My Path, is based on Psalm 119:105—“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Throughout the week, students have explored what it means to follow God's direction, engage their faith in everyday life, and grow in community. Through worship, music, small group conversations, and times of reflection, the conference emphasizes:
The importance of personal faith
That all are welcomed and valued
The role of community in spiritual growth
The ability of youth to make a difference in the world
Montreat is a sacred space that fosters authenticity, connection, and courage. It affirms the call of young people to be and to shape the church. Our students have been soaking up every bit of this truth—forming deep friendships, asking important questions, and experiencing the presence of God in new and transformative ways.
A special word of gratitude goes to our adult leaders—Katelyn Finch, Emily Smith, and Lindsey Hamilton—for guiding, supporting, and loving our youth throughout this week.
Please continue to pray for safe travels home and for the seeds planted at Montreat to grow and flourish in the lives of our youth.
