Phyllis Driver receiving the Valiant Woman Award from Ms Gussie Cherry at the May Friendship Luncheon at Rogers Memorial Baptist Church on May 1.

Phyllis Driver received a Valiant Woman Award from Knoxville Church Women United at the May Friendship Luncheon on Friday, May 1. Phyllis was honored during a delicious luncheon provided by Rogers Memorial Baptist Church.

CWU defines a Valiant Woman as one who has given service to Church Women United, her local church, and her community. She is one who leads by example and who lives the Gospel message in her everyday life.

Those of us who know Phyllis Driver through her work at First Presbyterian Church in Knoxville or who know her through her work in the Presbytery of East Tennessee will understand just how fitting it is for her to receive this award. Congratulations, Phyllis!
