Pray for Our Youth: Growing in Faith Through Summer Retreats
As summer approaches, our youth are preparing for a season of spiritual growth, meaningful friendships, and deeper faith through a series of retreats and camps. These experiences provide sacred space for youth to encounter God, explore big questions, and discover how to live out their faith in the world.
Our High School Youth will attend the Montreat Youth Conference in North Carolina from June 8–14. With 8–10 youth attending, this year’s theme is “Light My Path,” drawn from Psalm 119:105:
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
This week will invite our teens to reflect on how God’s word offers direction, hope, and clarity in their daily lives.
Our Middle School Youth will travel to Massanetta Springs in Harrisonburg, VA from June 19–22, joining with friends from New Providence Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. The theme, “Holy Love. Wholly Loved,” based on 1 John 4, explores how we are deeply loved by God and called to extend that love to others in real and courageous ways.
In addition, John Knox Center is hosting Marathon Camp from June 15–27, offering another opportunity for youth to grow in faith through outdoor adventures and Christian community. More information is available here.
We are very grateful for Katelyn Finch, our Youth Director, who will be leading and encouraging our students throughout these retreats. Her commitment to helping our youth experience God’s love is a blessing to our church family.
Let's surround our youth with love and support as they seek to follow Christ this summer on these exciting retreats!
