Senior Spotlight: Brayden Vulich

Brayden Vulich, son of Kristen Albaugh, Steven Vulich, and stepson of Chad Albaugh, graduates from South Doyle High School in May 2026 with a clear sense of who he is and where he's headed. He plans to attend Pellissippi State Community College before transferring to a four-year school with a goal of becoming a psychiatrist or psychologist. It's a calling that suits him: his favorite subject is psychology, and the people around him consistently describe him as caring, patient, and deeply loyal.

What surprises most people is that he's been riding motorcycles and dirt bikes since age six. Outside of school, he's just as likely to be working on car upgrades, hitting the gym, or listening to music as he is out on a trail. His older brother Cody has been his biggest inspiration - someone who led by example and helped Brayden make good choices along the way.

In youth group, Brayden gravitates toward small group discussions and meaningful moments — like the Senior Sunday when his friends Max and Casper gave messages from the front. "It was great seeing my friends up there inspiring others," he recalls. What brings him joy lately is simple: giving to others, whether a gift or just showing up to make someone's day better.

"The way Jesus listens and is slow to anger — in today's world people can be so quick to anger and not listen to understand where someone comes from."

— BRAYDEN, ON THE CHARACTER OF JESUS THAT INSPIRES HIM MOST

That spirit of patience and grace shapes the way Brayden moves through the world. He sees God at work in the way people are brought into each other's lives at just the right moment. And he carries that belief into his friendships, his faith, and his future - one where he hopes to spend his days truly listening to others.

"I'm inspired to have forgiveness and grace."
— BRAYDEN VULICH, ON HOW HIS FAITH SHAPES THE WAY HE TREATS OTHERS

The field of mental health will be fortunate to have him.

We are grateful for Brayden — for the presence, care, and quiet faithfulness he has brought to this youth group. We send him forward with our prayers, our blessing, and our support as he steps into all that God has prepared for him.
