Katie Scheetz, Organist and Associate Director of Music Ministries at Church Street United Methodist Church, and Scott Scheetz, Director of Music Ministries at First Presbyterian Church, will present the opening concert of the 2026–2027 Master Arts Series at Church Street UMC on Sunday, September 6, at 3:00 p.m.

The program will feature music by Gustav Merkel, Horatio Parker, Naji Hakim, Robin Dinda, and others, showcasing the remarkable range of Church Street’s 84-rank Aeolian-Skinner organ and its many sounds and timbres.

The concert will conclude with a special work by Robin Dinda, a 2023 organ duet commissioned by Katie and Scott.

The concert is co-sponsored by the Knoxville Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, and a reception will follow.
