Silent Auction Event Supporting UKirk UTK at First Presbyterian on November 21 — “Come to the Table!”

First Presbyterian Church is pleased to host UKirk UTK for a special evening on Friday, November 21, from 5:30–7:00 p.m. Join UKirk for “Come to the Table,” a gathering with good food, good company, and a silent auction featuring art, pottery, gifts, and unique experiences. Tickets are $20 via Venmo (@UPerkUTK, memo: Fall Festival) or $25 at the door.

This event helps support the ministry of UKirk, our Presbyterian campus ministry at the University of Tennessee. UKirk provides a welcoming, affirming community where college students can ask questions, grow in faith, and know they are beloved by God.

By attending, you’re helping us care for students during a formative season of life, offering them support, belonging, and a place to experience God’s love on campus. Thank you for investing in this important ministry.

Children’s Ministry Sunday - Growing in God’s Word Together

Join us for a joyful celebration of our children and those who teach and nurture them in faith! On Sunday, September 21, during the 11:00 AM service, our children and teachers will lead us in worship. Together, they will highlight the many ways our youngest disciples engage with God’s Word during children’s church.

Note: There will be NO 8:45 Chapel Service for Children's Ministry Sunday on September 21st

This special service is a wonderful opportunity to give thanks for our children’s ministry program, honor the teachers who guide and learn alongside them, and witness the joy and faith our children bring to the life of our church.

Worshipful Wednesday Returns: Rooted in Faith, Growing in Community

Join us on Wednesday, August 13, as we kick off a new year of Worshipful Wednesdays with a Launch Night Celebration! We’ll get a snapshot of all the exciting opportunities coming this fall for children, youth, and adults—and we’ll celebrate with a snow cone party from Kona Ice!

Our opening weeks (beginning on August 20) will help us explore the rich foundation of faithfulness at First, and invite us to more fully root ourselves in the beauty, mission, and history of our congregation:

Deep Roots: The Stories and Stones of First Presbyterian (Aug 20) Join local historian Jack Neely as he uncovers the rich history of First Presbyterian Church and its role in shaping the city of Knoxville.

Flourish: The Art Behind Worship (Aug 27) Discover how the Flower Guild brings worship to life through beauty. This session offers a glimpse into their creative process and the spiritual care that guides their work.

Where Justice Grows: Exploring the People and Purpose Behind the Mission Market (Sep 3) Take a behind-the-scenes look at the Mission Market with Colleen Shannon. Learn how this ministry extends justice and hope around the world—and enjoy a chance to experience some of its offerings firsthand.

Come be inspired, grounded, and connected as we begin another meaningful year together. There’s no better time to deepen your roots in this community of faith.

Dinner begins at 5:30 PM, followed by the program at 6:30 PM. We can’t wait to welcome you.
