Mark your calendars for the First Presbyterian Churchwide Retreat at Montreat, North Carolina, April 24–26, 2026. We hope you will plan to join others from the congregation for a weekend of learning, fellowship, and worship in the mountains.

This year’s retreat will center on the theme “Wisdom for the Ages.” Our guest leader will be Christine Roy Yoder, Proverbs scholar and J. McDowell Richards Professor of Biblical Interpretation at Columbia Theological Seminary. Together we will explore the remarkable ways the wisdom of Proverbs continues to speak across the centuries and guide our lives today.


Throughout the weekend, participants will have the opportunity to reflect on Scripture, worship together, and enjoy the beauty and peaceful setting of Montreat Conference Center. It will be a time to deepen faith, renew our spirits, and strengthen relationships within our church community.


The retreat will also include:

• Special programming for youth and children

• Fellowship activities for all ages

• Childcare provided for younger children


Pricing for the weekend:

• $175 per adult

• $100 for children and teens

• $100 Saturday day option
