As we begin our theme year, "At the Table Together: Gather, Reveal, Send," Sunday School offers a place to gather in community, engage Scripture, ask questions, and grow in our faith. Around the table, we learn from one another and discover how God is calling us to live as disciples of Christ. Find your place at one of the classes below!‍‍

DISCIPLESHIP CLASS

Open to adults of all ages, the Discipleship Class meets in Classroom A on the second floor near the rock entrance. Led by Greg Efurd and other teachers, the class will study 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus using N.T. Wright’s For Everyone Bible Study Guide. Additional studies will include a sermon series on the Lord’s Prayer and selected works by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., offering opportunities to explore how Christian faith shapes our prayer, discipleship, and response to the world. For more information, contact Greg Efurd at gtefurd@gmail.com.

CARRICK CLASS

The Carrick Class, for adults of all ages, meets at 9:45 am in Heritage Room A on the third floor. Debbie Christiansen, Debbie Jones, other class members, and invited guests share in teaching the class. This year’s primary study will focus on the Book of Exodus and what we can learn from God’s people during a time of upheaval, uncertainty, and transformation. The class will draw from the work of Walter Brueggemann and Lessons We Can Learn from the Red Sea, with occasional discussions connecting Scripture to current events. For more information, contact Debbie Christiansen at kpippi@aol.com.

FOUNDATION BUILDERS CLASS - (meets at 10 AM and not 9:45)

The Foundation Builders Class meets at 10:00 am in Heritage Room B on the third floor. Led by Bill and Ginny Morrow, Stacy Davis, and David Skipper, each session includes a 30-minute video lesson followed by class discussion.

Beginning August 23, the class will complete its study of The Lives of Great Christians, featuring lectures by Dr. William R. Cook. The five remaining lessons will explore influential Christians from the early church through Mother Teresa. On October 4, the class will begin Understanding the New Testament, a 24-lesson series led by David Brakke, PhD, MDiv. This study will examine the New Testament writings, their authors, and the historical world in which they were created, including Jewish life under Roman occupation. For more information, contact Stacy Davis at scdavis2313@gmail.com.

EMBARKED CLASS

Designed for college students and adults, the Embarked Class meets in the James Park Room on the second floor. Led by Andy Morgan, the class will begin a 10-week study of the Ten Commandments.
