Volunteer Ministry Center, one of First Presbyterian’s local mission partners, is hosting its annual Carry the Torch event on December 10 at the Knoxville Convention Center. This gathering raises essential funds that allow VMC to continue providing resources, support, and housing for our unhoused neighbors in Knoxville.

This year’s featured speaker is former Lady Vol Chamique Holdsclaw, returning to Knoxville to share her story. She will be joined by Honorary Chair Joan Cronan, Athletic Director Emeritus at the University of Tennessee. Together, they will help shine a light on the ongoing work of VMC and the importance of supporting efforts that prevent and end homelessness through compassion, accountability, and results.
