Arts & Craft Fair Brings Community Together at First Presbyterian
What a great day at last Saturday’s Arts and Craft Fair! With 30 vendors, including many talented artists from our own congregation, the church was filled with creativity, fellowship, and joy. We are thankful to God for a day that brought people together, helped us make new friends, and welcomed the wider community into our church home. More than 250 people visited throughout the day, and many commented on how warm and welcoming our church felt.
We’re grateful for the gifted members of our congregation who shared their work: pottery by Wayne McLaurin, jewelry by Lauren Nunn and Linda Williams, crocheted items by Jane Holland, Emily Smith, and Lindsey Hamilton, woodworking by Gary Anderson and John Schroeder, scrapbooking from Mary Wilson, T-shirts by Walt Montgomery, fiber arts by Terri Ramsay, cards by Linn Acree and Judy Cagle, and books from Linda Behrend and Virginia Schroeder. Several vendors sold out, and many generously donated part of their proceeds to support the youth program, FISH Pantry, and more.
A special shout-out to the Mission Market, which had its biggest day ever and sold more items than ever before!
Thank you to all the volunteers, to Victor for his behind-the-scenes support, and especially to Mary Wilson for organizing this great event. We are blessed with such a creative, generous, and faithful church family!
