FPC Music
Need some music in your life?
Our church was overflowing with it this week.
The Effie Rule Circle began their meeting by singing the hymn “Jesus Is Calling,” written and composed by Will Lamartine Thompson in 1880. The familiar words set the tone for the morning, framing the gathering in prayer, shared faith, and a gentle reminder of God’s invitation to each of us:
Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling—
Calling for you and for me;
Patiently Jesus is waiting and watching—
Watching for you and for me.
Come home! Come home!
Ye who are weary, come home!
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner, come home!
Music continued to fill our halls later in the week as the talented Joyful Noise Handbell Choir practiced under the direction of Scott Scheetz. We look forward to hearing the Joyful Noise Handbell Choir in worship soon. They sound amazing!
Take a moment to listen and enjoy the clips below. Sometimes, a little music is exactly what we need.
