Getting Rooted at First Presbyterian

This year, our theme—Rooted for Good, Nourished in Christ, Growing in Love—invites us to dig deeper into our faith, our community, and our call to serve. Whether you’ve been part of First Presbyterian for years or are just beginning your journey with us, there are many ways to connect.

From Presbyterian Women and Worshipful Wednesday to our new Men’s Group "Squares" launching, First Fellowship Groups, and Lunch Bunch, there are opportunities for every stage of life and every schedule. Sunday School classes for all ages begin this Sunday—an excellent way to deepen your understanding of Scripture and strengthen relationships with others.

We also invite you to serve alongside us through the work of our committees and our Local and Global Mission partners. Whether you have a passion for hands-on service, working with refugees at Bridge Refugee Service or students at Dogwood Elementary, working at the Mission Market, in worship, music or advocacy, your gifts can make an impact in our church, our city, and the world.

For a list of updated opportunities, check out the brochure below. Printed copies of the brochure and this year’s Rally Day calendar cards will be available outside the Sanctuary and in the Fellowship Hall in the coming weeks. You can also stay up to date for more events and ministry updates through our weekly emails, Facebook and Instagram accounts, Sunday announcements, display screens in the Commons area and the church website.

We are so excited to begin this new year of growing in faith and community together—and we can’t wait to see where God will lead us!
