Supporting FISH Clients Through KARM Gift Cards

For many years The Presbyterian Women of First Presbyterian Church operated a clothes closet for those in need, maintained by Peggy Hagler and members of her circle. Without Peggy’s leadership it has been challenging to keep it organized and beneficial. Therefore, a clothes closet will no longer be housed at our church. However, our FISH pantry clients appreciate receiving KARM (Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries) gift cards, which are provided when church members donate clothing and other items to KARM and request credit go to First Presbyterian Church. KARM then sends the gift cards to the church office to be distributed as needed, allowing individuals to shop for what they need at any KARM store.

We encourage you to continue donating your items to KARM with First Presbyterian as the credited recipient, as it directly supports the clients who frequent our FISH pantry ministry. Of course, feel free to take your clothing donations to other worthwhile donating centers because they all meet important needs.
