Join us for Kingdom Quest: An Epic Journey to Discover God’s Kingdom at First Presbyterian Church (June 22nd - 24th)! Children and guides will embark on a fun and faithful adventure to discover what it means to say “Jesus is the way,” “Jesus is with me,” and “The Holy Spirit helps me,” while exploring the incredible adventures God’s Kingdom invites followers of Jesus to experience.
While children participate in Kingdom Quest, adults are invited to join Rev. Tim Reynolds for Jonah’s Epic Adventure, a companion study that explores the story of Jonah in fresh and meaningful ways. Together, participants will reflect on what this famous “fish story” might say to us as we navigate faith in a difficult and often confusing world.
Dinner is free for everyone and begins at 5:30 pm each evening. All participants will gather in the Chapel at 6:30 pm to begin the night, and parents can pick up children from the Chapel at 7:30 pm.
Dinner Menu:
• Monday: Chicken Tenders & Mac and Cheese
• Tuesday: Pizza
• Wednesday: Hotdogs & Tots, followed by a Snow Cone Block Party at the conclusion of the evening
This event is a partnership with First and Second Presbyterian Church, and we would love to see you there!
We are also looking for volunteers to help make Kingdom Quest a success. We need help decorating on June 20 from 10 am–12 pm, as well as “Game Masters,” guides who will accompany and assist younger learners throughout the evening. Volunteers will not be directly teaching, but helping children navigate activities and transitions.
Adult volunteer registration closes June 12, and volunteers will need to submit information for a background check. A volunteer walkthrough meeting will take place at noon on Saturday, June 20th before VBS begins at First Presbyterian to help everyone become familiar with the building and schedule.
Registration deadlines:
• Adult Volunteers: June 12
• Children & Non-Volunteer Adult Participants: June 15
